Maybe some of you do or don't know, but I like to play lacrosse. What is more interesting is that BYU has a lacrosse team! Now, just so you know, it is a club team and players do not receive any type of financial aid or scholarship. In fact, the players themselves have to put the money up on their own. But is shows a lot of dedication to any and all players who have ever participated in this great program. It is a fun sport that has been played for several years, mainly on the east coast. In fact, many well known colleges have lacrosse teams that are recognized as an official NCAA sport. Schools such as Hopkins, Maryland, Virginia, Duke, Syracuse, North Carolina, and many more. This sport is quiet different than most other sports in that any player is allowed to use their equipment for purp
oses of protection as well as inflicting damage on the other team. We wear pads like they do in hockey or football, and we run around like we would if we were playing soccer. There are boundaries and rules that need to be followed, but it is a game that is better seen rather than explained. If anyone ever has a chance to attend a lacrosse game, be sure to take advantage of the opportunity. It is a fun environment with incredible athletes and very animated fans.
You could tie in how exercising and outdoor sports could be effected by pollution in the air.
